Multi-Lingual,
Multi-Cultural
Not bound to a single language or community. The universal language of music and silence.
A South Asian Arts Festival
There is something the world is quietly hungry for — a place to feel, to belong, to breathe.
SAMAA is built for that hunger. Not a concert. Not an event. A two-day gathering where living arts and culture come together as one slow, soulful experience.
Dubai today is home to millions who carry the music and memory of South Asia in their hearts — and to a wider world that increasingly seeks meaning, depth, and shared humanity over spectacle. SAMAA is built for both.
Not bound to a single language or community. The universal language of music and silence.
Every artist selected for depth and intention, not popularity. Designed like a piece of music, not a schedule.
Performance, food, storytelling, crafts, garden. The audience never just sits and watches.
We do not chase viral moments. We honour silence between notes, applause that comes slowly.
2,500 guests inside a festival park designed for proximity. No back-row strangers.
Not a one-off. SAMAA is designed as Dubai's annual flagship cultural festival.
Curated artists from India, Pakistan, and the UAE — each chosen not for popularity, but for the particular quality of attention they bring to a room.
The SAMAA mark is a swirling, eight-fold rosette set within a ring of floral mandala. It carries the geometry of a Sufi whirl, the bloom of a garden at dusk, and the still centre that every gathering returns to.
Read the full essay on the meaning of the mark, the mehrab, the Nastaliq, and the colours of SAMAA.
SAMAA does not exist in isolation. It draws — humbly and deliberately — from the world's most respected festivals of music, literature, and spirit.
Fes Festival — Morocco
UN-recognised dialogue through music. SAMAA inherits its philosophy that the sacred speaks to everyone.
Jodhpur RIFF — India
Courtyard staging that makes thousands feel like dozens. SAMAA's stage design follows this discipline.
Hay Festival — Wales
Where artists, poets, and audiences gather as equals. The model for SAMAA's programming.
Edinburgh Fringe — Scotland
Multiple simultaneous experiences. SAMAA runs a stage, pavilion and engagement zones in parallel.
Kabir Festival — India
Sacred music and poetry shared across faiths and languages. SAMAA's curation follows this universal spirit.
WOMAD — UK/Global
Curating music as a celebration of peace and unity at once. SAMAA's curatorial north star.
Set inside one of Dubai's most beloved urban gardens. Open air. Mature trees. Lantern-lit pathways. A festival park designed to slow you down the moment you enter.
The performance stage, the cultural pavilion, the Zaika food village, and the Healing courtyard — all flow into each other across two days. Walk in for a single performance. Stay until the last note.
The inaugural edition's title and presenting positions remain open. Five tiers of belonging — title, co-presenting, associate, supporting, and friends — each structured for category exclusivity.
Leave us your name. We will write to you when the lamps are lit — with the lineup, the early-bird passes, and a few quiet surprises along the way.
